Spiritual Writing Groups
Spiritual writing translates the experience of your life into story. Story is the “aching and questing of your soul." The core reason for writing is to engage your heart, soul, mind and body, to connect with the Holy within and among and to tell your story.
“The spiritual writer uncovers, probes, and honors what is sacred in his or her life story; the writing process itself is a means to spiritual growth; and the product makes the experience able to be real.”
-- Elizabeth J. Andrew.
This class is a tool for you to use in the spiritual practice of writing your spiritual memoir. You will cover a topic each month with a short reflection and then you will write for 30 minutes. Then each person in the group will share their writing. Writing your story is an instrument for your transformation and spiritual growth and insight for others.
We believe that there are 5.8 billion gospels in the world; each person has a gospel within; each person has their story, their good news and their spiritual memoirs to write.
Your gospel, your story is waiting to be written and shared.
Class meets the second Tuesday of the month from September through June from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
